The budget will increase the allocation for MPs to 100 lakhs

The Minister of Agriculture Mahindananda Aluthgamage stated that it has been decided to provide Rs. 40 million for each Grama Niladhari Division from this year's budget.

During a discussion with local government representatives in the Mawanella division, Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage stated that the Minister of Finance Basil Rajapaksa has decided to provide Rs. 100 lakhs to each Member of Parliament for development activities from this year's budget.

It is also planned to give Rs. 30 million each to the people's representatives representing local government bodies.

The government aims to resume rural development activities stalled due to the corona epidemic from next year.
