Covid death

With the confirmation of 54 deaths due to Kovid infection, the total number of Kovid deaths in the country has risen to 1,844.

It is also the highest number of Kovid infected deaths reported in a single day in the country.

Of the 54 deaths reported today, 22 were women and 32 were men, according to the Government Information Department.

Katana, Uduwela, Mawanella, Aranayaka, Maligawatta, Eravur 02, Moratuwa, Alubomulla, Wadduwa, Walasmulla, Kolavanigama, Colombo-15, Ja-Ela, Wattala, Bathgammulla, Thalathuoya, Badulla, Kilinochchi, Nikaweratiya, Maradankadawaliya, Medawachchiya, Medawachchiya Kovid deaths have been reported from Periyaneelavanai, Akurana, Udispattuwa, Lunuwatta, Thorapitiya, Mahiyanganaya, Ragama, Colombo-13, Avissawella, Wathupitiwala, Pannipitiya, Waga and Marawila, the Director General of Health said.
