Another stock of Faizer vaccine arrives in the island

A total of 305,370 doses of the Pfizer vaccine against the Kovid virus were brought to the Katunayake International Airport this morning by a Qatar Airways cargo plane.

The vaccine, packed in 1,818 boxes weighing 53 kilograms, was originally flown from Amsterdam in the Netherlands to Doha in Qatar.

Since then, the consignment had been flown by Qatar Airways cargo plane QR-668 at 01.55 this morning.

After unloading the consignment, the cargo was stored in the airport air cargo refrigerator and then transported by the Sri Lanka Pharmaceuticals Corporation's refrigerated lorries to their central storage facility in Colombo.
