Signs that the country will not open on the first day

UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe says that the country will not be reopened on October 01.

He was speaking at a panel discussion organized by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).

The MP points out that the country will not be reopened on October 01 as there is a delay in purchasing fuel in the local market.

He further stated that the opening of the country will be delayed till mid-October.

Commenting on the issue of debt management in Sri Lanka, Mr. Wickremasinghe said that more attention should be paid to the declining foreign exchange reserves.
