The government of good governance took loans as much as possible but did nothing

Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa today (Jan. 25) said that the well-governed government, which had gone bankrupt to the point of storing paddy at the Mattala Airport, had borrowed as much as it could but had done nothing.

“The well-governed government that came to power in 2015 stored paddy at the Mattala Airport in retaliation for the Rajapaksas instead of contributing to economic development.

The well-governed government that went bankrupt like that took loans as much as possible. But nothing was done. If you have taken a loan, you should get rid of what you did by investing that loan. Mattala Airport earns foreign exchange for our country. They are the resources of our country. The good governance government did not have any development plan or development target. ”

Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa made this observation at the opening of the new airstrip and runway constructed under the Bandaranaike International Airport Development Project.
