If I am involved in sand smuggling, complain to the police - Namal

Minister Namal Rajapaksa has requested the public to lodge a complaint with the Batticaloa District Police regarding any sand smuggling taking place in the district.

He said neither the current president nor the government would support any illegal activities.

However, he said that some people were using various names to name Rajapaksa and that even if the Opposition issued statements to the media using his family name, he would not lodge a complaint with the police.

The Minister said that he was ready to come forward and give evidence if anyone complained to the police with evidence in this regard.

The Minister was responding to a media query regarding the allegations leveled against him.
