Minister of State who was heartbroken by sharks

Minister of State for Fisheries Kanchana Wijesekera has stated that immediate steps have been taken to investigate the alleged illegal fishing activities in the Trincomalee area.

Referring to a photo shared on Twitter, the Minister of State said that a team has already left for Trincomalee to investigate the matter.

Fishermen have been banned from fishing for several species of sharks due to the threat of extinction.
