Pensions from today

The payment of pensions will commence from today and will be available today (10), tomorrow (11) and the day after tomorrow (12) at the relevant financial institutions and post offices.

Accordingly, those who are going to receive pensions do not need a permit and the government has taken steps to provide free transport facilities to those who are unable to do so.

The Presidential Task Force on Economic Revival and Poverty Alleviation announced that those who do not receive the facility will be allowed to carry their Retirement Identity Card, National Identity Card or SMS sent by the Department.

Meanwhile, all government and private banks and post offices will remain open today (10) and tomorrow (11) and post offices will remain open on Saturday the 12th.
