Relief for pregnant mothers in nursing due to Kovid

Dr. Hemantha Herath, Deputy Director General of Health Services, Ministry of Health, says that pregnant women who are engaged in nursing service will be entitled to full leave three months before giving birth.

Pregnant nurses can work in the first six months and are employed in areas where covia and dengue are at low risk, he said.

Accordingly, the Health Secretary has issued a new circular amending the previous circular regarding maternity leave, said Hemantha Herath.
